Each individual has rights as a human being considering equality and non-discrimination. Future advocates need good knowledge and skills in this area. Students in Communication and many others should broaden their skills to promote peace and manage conflicts well. Through these objectives, UNESCO and the PBF have supported the University of Antananarivo by providing a resource center and documentation in communication on human rights according to the head of the mention Communication - Mediation - Media - Organization, Dr. Lanto Charlys Rasoanilana.

According to the Senior Advisor of UNESCO, the module inserted in the COMMO mention is part of social cohesion. In the 23 regions of Madagascar, young people are subject to tensions. The few young human rights defenders are intimidated. To promote peace, UNESCO favours actions through education, science, culture, and communication. UNESCO’s support for the COMMO degree aims to provide knowledge on human rights and peacebuilding through effective communication. Students will be oriented towards dynamic engagement and peacebuilding.

The Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Humanities addresses congratulations and thanks to the initiators of such project. She expresses the wish to extend the access to the center in question for the other mentions in order to have a culture of peace in peace for peace.
